Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to my homepage! It's split into 3 parts: 1. My blog / feed, where I talk about my music but also about random stuff. 2. "Releases and Activities", where I list projects and releases that I'm involved in, without all the banter. There is where you want to go if you are mainly interested in my music and activism. 3. And the menu on the side that links to my bio, labels, and so on. Enjoy your stay!

Space Invaded

Ohrdohrböhrer with a release on Omnicore Records! This is Acidcore, Oldschool-flavored, with steel-plated bassdrums, killer percussion, a huge variety of sounds, bleeps, FX, powerful, brooding synths...
Creating a truly surreal, futuristic, flashback, out of this world atmosphere - "Space Invaded" for real.
Also some more tranquil, calm (relatively speaking) tracks are added.
If you're into the old, or new, rough Acid sound - here you go!
Lucid Dreamcore that feeds your head.

Doors To The Pleasures

Low Entropy's first full-length Slowcore album - with a runtime of 70 minutes! "Doors To The Pleasures" is a correctly chosen title - the underlying theme here are trips to light and euphoric pleasures, but also journey's into dark ecstasy and twisted emotions, plus surreal and bizarre excursions; and, most of the time, all of this and more thrown together.
Stylistically, we have eight Slowcore tracks here, often alternating between "calm" Techno beats and rhythms, and relentless distortion and noise.
There is Low Entropy's typical Doomed atmosphere and concept, but this time, more than usually, an influence of Dark and Space Ambient genres - and movie-soundtrack-like ideas.
And we can't deny another influence of Oldschool Gabber - and 90s Ravecore.

A haunting and exhausting experience.
Doors to the pleasures - or to the worst nightmares? It's up to you!

Tracklisting:

Low Entropy - Doors To The Pleasures (SDRHC 042)

1. Paralyzed By Fear (80 BPM)
2. Depart To The Stars (75 BPM)
3. Doors To The Pleasures (48 BPM)
4. But A Thought (60 BPM)
5. Open Your Mind To Slowcore (Forward Mix) (70 BPM)
6. This Is History (1-4-16-64 BPM Version)
7. Slowcore Overdrive (Extended Mix) (60 BPM)
8. Witches (Full Size Mix) (118 BPM)

Yuck Foo

After more than 3 years, Soulkeeper finally returns to our label family - this time on Omnicore Records - joining forces with Morgana and Rodericks Eind.
Omnicore is the label for all styles of Hardcore and music, and with the release here, it really shows this - because these are some very varied sound experiments.
Ranging from abstract Doomtechno, to Braindance influenced Industrial Hardcore, Oldschool Gabber, desolate Rhythm'n'Noise, aggressive shouting Crossbreed - you want it, we got it!
Well produced, full of ideas, creativity, cleverness - something for your mind + your body!
So, without further ado, here we go (again).

Dark Matter Project

Doomcore Records Pod Cast 042 - Dark Matter Project - Corrosion Doomcore Mix

Nasty and distorted sounds by Dark Matter Project on the Doomcore Records Pod Cast series!
This is somewhere between Doomcore, Techno, Slowcore, Industrial and Ambient. Machine sounds, cold, relentless; metal hits on metal in abandoned factory halls; would work very well as a soundtrack to a Terminator-style movie. Did we mention it's also very surreal and hypnotic?
Crisp sound quality and good use of delay and reverberation. So take a listen now!

The Speedcore Anthology

An anthology of Speedcore tracks produced by me when I was part of the early Speedcore scene, mid-90s to the mid-2000s years.
High BPMs up to 1000 and beyond, lots of noises, lots of samples.
Some productions are on the Ravecore side, some funny and more like parodies, some are dark and gloomy, and some just sheer noise terror.
A lot of these tracks had been released on vinyl back in the days by labels like Blut, Black Monolith or Widerstand, and have become collector items.
Others were more rare and obscure, or even unreleased.
But almost all of my main productions in the Speedcore genre of that era should be here.
And, as a bonus track, one newer production is included.
So, braze yourself for some speedy tracks, and enjoy this release!

Taciturne

New Taciturne 12" !
My little review:
"This was the music I had in my Head in 1995-1997 but was not be able to produce at that time" says the producer himself about this record.
This is actually the first new musical output by Taciturne on vinyl since 24 years! And it definitely has been worth the wait.
What do we get here? This is some type of Hardcore and Speedcore with a very strong focus on atmosphere and emotion.
It can be compared to some earlier tracks by Taciturne - "Praxis Dr. Fischer" from the Otaku compilation comes in mind. But it is a much more advanced, improved version of it.
This is Taciturne at his maximum capabilities again.
If you're a Taciturne aficionado, getting this record is a no-brainer. If not, at least take a listen to it!

Light Of Long Dead Stars

Two masters of Doomcore and Slowcore join forces - the result is this 4 track EP on Slowcore Records.
The themes of these tracks are Cosmic Horror, Lovecraftian myths, forbidden wisdom, eldritch abominations, madness at the end of time, and, the faint hope that a last gleam of light might be hidden in this universe as it disintegrates into black nothingness.
Underpinned are these themes and bleak fantasies by brutal, steelworks-like Industrial and Doomcore drumming, haunting melodies and a general wall of howling, screeching, lamenting; synths, sounds, FX.
So, take a listen here - if you dare! And remember to watch the blackness between the stars.

Tracklisting:

Der Cherep & Low Entropy - Light Of Long Dead Stars

1. We Are The Prey (90 BPM)
2. Light Of Long Dead Stars (110 BPM)
3. Buried Amongst The Cosmos (115 BPM)
4. The Prophecy (110 BPM)

Murmuur

Nethercords will release a vinyl EP by Murmuur very soon, and I can highly recommend it. Here is a litte review that I wrote for this release:
(Also check Murmuur's releases on Doomcore Records, btw!)

Murmuur - Rise Of The Death Gods (Nethercords)

Spanish artist Murmuur on Australian label Nethercords.
The tracks straddle the line between Doomcore and Industrial Hardcore here, with some definite inspiration by contemporary Techno. The backbone of these tracks are the pounding drums, which come across ultra-brutal, and are sure to get some people pumping on the dark dancefloor.
Supported by hellish, demoniac wailing, screeching sounds that set the right mood.
What I like is that while there is a lot of punch in the production, it's not so "overly" laden and distorted like a lot of Industrial Hardcore releases these days.
Two tracks are original tracks by Murmuur, while the two other tracks are remixes of tracks originally by Tyrant X, who is also the label owner.
This is a record that stands apart from most Dark/Doomcore outings, first by the excellent sonic production qualities, and second by bringing in new and different ideas to these forms of music.
Definitely one for the Doom and Industrial heads, and anyone else who likes creative, hard and dark music.

The Slowcore Compilation Part 3

The third installment of The Slowcore Compilation series already!
Once again we bring what we consider to be amongst the best and boldest in low tempo electronic music.
Featuring many well-known producers and masterminds, as well as up and coming producers.
Drawing influences from Hardcore, Gabber, Doomcore, Industrial, Techno, Dark Ambient, and many, many more styles.
Some of the tracks on here are more in a "Hardcore for the dancefloor" vein, some are more surreal and heady - but all are fierce.
Another attempt by us in our mission to spread dark and distorted slow tempo music.
And we sincerly hope you'll enjoy it!

23 tracks, 11-125 BPM, Runtime of 2 hours and 19 minutes.

Syntax Error + The Advent Of Acid Remixed

Out now on Bandcamp!
I am happy to have joined forces with the very talented Esther Dune for this EP on the label Spirit Of Progress.
1 original track each by both of us, and 1 remix of the other one's track.
Techno, Hardcore, Acid... but essentially, beyond styles!
Also coming to the relevant online music platforms on November 1st.

Original release info by the label itself:

"SOP 063-1322
Esther Dune / Low Entropy - Syntax Error + The Advent Of Acid Remixed

Welcome Esther Dune, aka Dutch Djane Esther Duijn, who is known for her no-nonsense techno style, and whose skills have taken her as far as playing the legendary Tresor Club and going head to head on a remix EP with DJ Ruffneck.
Here she joins the race with Low Entropy, who himself is actually a part of the techno and acid legacy that Esther relates to. “Syntax Error” kicks off with all the essentials you need – the bang of the bass drum, a rave riff and subtle variation. Low Entropy submits a tighter edit of his 2015 ZUUR track “Advent of Acid”, and both then re-tweak these originals so that the result is a totally coherent EP that goes from A to B – and provides unadulterated fun on the way."

The Last Vigil

There is a new Taciturne vinyl EP - called "The Last Vigil" - to be released soon on Aneurysm Recordings. Essentially the first release with wholly new material by him since 24 years!

I contributed a tribute mix as part of the promotion for this release. The mix is made up of older material by him, taken from many relases, and is in a variety of styles; Hardcore, Industrial, Techno, Ambient...
You can listen to it here:

Also check Taciturne's bandcamp, where you can purchase some of his old EPs and more:

Original info text for the mix:

"Low Entropy gave us an amazing Taciturne's tribute mix to promote the incoming EP.
Downloading and listening are free.... but any support to the label is very welcome.
In this session you will find some Taciturne's classics, many from the Old Bullschitt collections and a track of the new record (try to find it if you can!).
So turn up the volume, play start and enjoy this mix!!!"

Ecstasy Of Slowcore

Out now on Doomcore Initiative! Including the track "Slowcore Lacrima".

From the release info:
"Low Entropy, always a welcome guest on every label, shares with us six slowcore and doomcore tracks. Slowcore has evolved recently into a well recognizable genre due not only to its natural slowness but also to its esthetic profoundness. Low Entropy adds a layer of sadness with medieval touch into some tracks. Enjoy and stay doomed!"

An Introduction To Doomcore Records

Doomcore Records will turn 10 years in 2022, and there will be some happenings / releases surrounding this event.
So what better way to begin than with a compilation that serves as an introduction to the label itself?
We picked 7 tracks that in our view showcase Doomcore Records in a very good way. The tracks celebrate the various styles that have found a home on our label - Doomcore (of course!), Techno, Industrial Hardcore, Oldschool, Gabber, Dark Ambient, Experimental and more - and are excellent and well-produced tracks on their own at the same time.
So here you have the haunted sounds of Nkisi, the sheer brutality of Euthanasylum, the phuture sound of Danx, the new style of Naos, the reserved electronics of Aliocha, the bleak spoken word synths of Deep Sphere and InterStella Moonbeam, and the thundering Slowcore of Low Entropy - all joined in one compilation.
Whether you're new to the label and want to check this introduction, or are an old fan and want to appreciate some tracks that are still relevant: just go ahead, you won't regret it!

This release also marks the return of Mattia Travaglini as the designer for our artworks, who had to pause for almost a year, and we are very happy to have him back!

Various Artists - An Introduction To Doomcore Records

1. Naos - Multi-Armed Form
2. Danx - The Afterlife
3. Euthanasylum - Cernnunos (Krampus Edit)
4. Aliocha - Cupidon Is Dead
5. Nkisi - Killer Instincts (Instrumental)
6. Deep Sphere & InterStella Moonbeam - And So It Ends (Vocal Mix)
7. Low Entropy - There Is No Future (Extended Version)

Decayed & Ruined

That was fast! Disrrr whopped up a new album for Omnicore Records - and we think it's even better than the debut!
And the sounds on here *are* fast, too. It's a Breakcore release crossing over into heavy Dub, Industrial, Noize, Dark Ambient, Glitch, and Speedcore. Defined by a very bleak, cold, dark, but beautiful atmosphere throughout these tracks.
This is definitely not some IDM-ish Pop-Breaks album!
Once again, there are plenty of traces of 90s Breakcore influences to be found in here, so if you dug that stuff, you might dig this, too.
And, what we especially liked is that there is a huge focus on beatless, droney, ambient parts, which takes this release very far away from dancey club-friendly Drum'n'Bass etc. stuff.

Here we have music that is contemplative and brutal at the same time.
10 Tracks, 47 Minutes.

PCP – Legends In Their Life - The Unofficial Planet Core Productions Book

In 2014 I wrote an unofficial eBook about Planet Core Productions, the label, the artists, etc.
I did a revised edition first in 2021, and I did another one now, and fixed some errors and did some minor changes.

It is also published on archive.org now, where you can read it online, or download it.

Malfunction Remix Competition

My album "Malfunction" had a bit of a troubled production history.
After the tracks for my "Anarcho-Psychotic EP" were finished, in early 2002 Christoph Fringeli approached me and asked me if I would be interested to do a 2x12" release for Praxis, that would also be released as a CD, with bonus tracks.
I of course said yes!
Over the next 2 years, multiple times I began working on this album and stopped again, scrapping the unfinished tracks I created because I was not happy with them. I also got distracted by other projects such as working on a sequel to my "Urban Uprising" track.
So eventually, I thought, this won't work this way, so I got up and made a plan, and wrote down exact details for every track I wanted to create.
In Spring 2004, I then set down and created 6 tracks in 6 weeks (and added one 7th track that I actually had finished earlier). This was a bit of a new thing for me, as usually it took me multiple weeks or months to finish a single track alone!
So it was a lot of effort for me to finish everything. I also had to study for a kind of exam at the same time, so I more or less spent the entire days learning, and then working on the tracks. With some minor exceptions, I didn't see friends anymore, didn't go to parties, and so on. Maybe I watched a movie at night now and then, as the last bit of "free time" I saved.
So, after this work, the tracks were finished. I don't think I strayed from the details I set beforehand for the tracks (maybe in one or two very minor things) - yet they sounded quite different to how I imagined them.
But they were okay with me, and Christoph loved them too.
All was set to be released, but then some events in my life happened that prevented the release altogether, which had to do with my interest in occultism and similar things I had at that time. I wrote down that story elsewhere, so there is no place for it here.
Years passed, I slowly walked back into life again, and the tracks lingered on. I even lost them due to hard drive damage once, but 1-2 years later I found a backup of them.
Christoph eventually convinced me that they should be released after all, this time on Praxis Digital.

So they were finally released in Autumn 2018, 16 and a half years after their inception (and 14 years after their creation!).
They quickly became a lot of people's favorite release by me; and they're definitely different from most other stuff I did over the years.

The Low Entropy project turns 25 this year, and in light of this and the things mentioned above, I thought it would be a nice idea to do a remix competition featuring this release.

Low Entropy - Malfunction Remix Competition

I created stems for all tracks from the album.
If you're interested in this project, hit me up and I'll send you a link to the stems.
You can listen to the original tracks here https://praxisrecords.bandcamp.com/album/malfunction-praxis-digital-00101

Rules:

1. You can do the remix in any style you want, Hardcore, Breakcore, Speedcore, Doomcore, Synthwave, Dark Ambient, Chiptune, Accoustic Guitar, whatever, it's your choice, as long as it's a cool track!
2. You can use the stems as you like for the remix, but you don't need to use all, or any; for example you could recreate the melodies with your own software / hardware and add your own sounds, or just use the idea of the track, etc.
3. You can remix more than one track.

4. Deadline for submission is 7.11.2022 (November the 7th, 2022) 11:59 pm. No track will be accepted after that date.
5. The tracks that get accepted will be released on a digital label (likely in a "free or pay what you want" release - profits made will be donated to charity).
6. I don't do mastering for this release, so if you want to have your own track mastered, you have to do it yourself (but it's not necessary).

Contact me at low.entropy.80@gmail.com for the stems, and also send the finished remixes to that address, subject "Malfunction Remix Competition".
Also send me a message if you have any questions about this project etc.

So, for now, I wish you a lot of fun with the tracks, and I hope to hear many interesting sound creations!

Fuck The System

Omnicore Records is proud to present a release by Dutch artist Wardyyr.
And what a release this is! These tracks are really something to blow the dust from your speakers, or the teeth from your skull.
Ultra-brutal, fierce Speedcore, Hardcore and Terror - amongst some slower and experimental tracks. A huge array of influences seems to be in this sound; definitely 90s Gabber and Speedcore inspired, but also elements of Darkcore, Rave, Techno, even a bit of Trance.
All sewed together to create a dark and cold Hardcore sound; sometimes melodic, sometimes tranquille, and often just sheer noize terror.
It reminds us of the old compilations like Terrordrome, Braindead or Razor Shock; but it definitely is not just a copy!
This is a very modern, very new Core sound that is totally devastating.
20 tracks and almost 2 hours of music.
So take a listen - but be warned - these are dangerous sounds!

This is Ultra Slowcore - 35 BPM or less

Doomcore Records Podcast 036 - This is Ultra Slowcore - 35 BPM or less

Slowcore Techno has been around for a while now, and gotten a huge surge in visibility with the release of the Slowcore Compilations and the start of Slowcore Records... but... the tracks just keep getting slower!
We are no longer talking 100, 90, 80 BPM, but there is a whole lot of stuff now with even lower tempos.
Just as Speedcore, beginning in the 90s, went faster and faster, the opposite is happening, too, with more and more tracks of extremely reduced speed emerging.
Would "Ultra Slowcore" be the right term for this movement?

So this is a selection of very slow Hardcore, Doomcore, Industrial and Tempo tracks, with a range of 1 bpm to 35 bpm.
We hope you enjoy this experience.
And, whatever you may think of this music, at least it's a change of pace from the usual stuff that is around these days - in a literal sense!

Tracklisting:

1. Low Entropy feat. Countess M - Creeping Doom (Vocal Version) (1 BPM)
2. Low Entropy - Thunderdoom (1 BPM)
3. Low Entropy - This Is History (1-4-16 BPM)
4. Low Entropy - Locked Down Slowcore (16 bpm)
5. Soldiers Of Nothingness Knights Eternal - There Is Slow Future (21.5 bpm)
6. Nicola Current - But It Wasn't The end (25 bpm)
7. Time Kanzler Green - Search & Destroy (35 bpm)
8. Low Entropy - Futuristic 1 (Slowcore Makeover) (8 / 16 / 32 BPM)

3. Deadline is October 24th 2022 11:59 pm.

Tribute Mix To Mouse And No Name Part 2

In 2014 I created a tribute mix for the music of Mouse and No Name (also known as Auto-Psy and Erase Head, or "The Michelson Sisters"). It spread around the internet quite quickly, was re-posted by many famous DJs and producers (and other people), and is by far my most listened-to mix - all plays combined, it has something like 18,000 plays in total.
As the point of my tribute mixes is to put music from the past that is often overlooked or pushed aside in favor of other (and probably lesser) music into view again, I hope with that mix I maybe succeeded a bit.
But the output of these marvelous producers is more vast than what could be featured in one mix.
So it was due time to do a follow-up to the original mix, many years later, that focused on other output by these two - who are, in my opinion, two of the best, most creative, and most awe-aspiring producers ever!
To give a bit of background and info to Mouse and No Name for those who might not be familiar with them yet (but how could that be possible?) I included the text I wrote for my original mix, too:

i have always been intrigued by the music of stella and poka michelson. to me, it is some of the most complex, complicated, intelligent music ever made. levels and levels of beats; noize; ambiance; abstraction; is built on top of each other. they're so far away from the "dumb gabber" and "speedcore" most people think of when the word 'hardcore' is mentioned. is this hardcore? is that even techno? it is more like art - real art, abstract, maybe it would belong more to a gallery, a museum, than to a party were people dance - if museums wouldn't be so boring!
i can't find many artists that could compare to this. the sheer level of complexity is overwhelming. some of the best somatic responses productions could compare - in complexity and experimentation of sounds. or the most intricate construction of underground PCP via acardipane. yet, maybe it is not right to compare this music - as it plays in its own universe. frantic noise, shrill, alien screams - often driven home by a powerful bassdrums, and killer punctured beats and hits. for some reason, i never compared this so much with other music, but to other forms of art, movies, pictures. this would fit well to dystopian cyberpunk picture, an onslaught of screeching robots pacing through a destroyed, wrecked industrial wasteland.
there are so many things i am missing in most hardcore that are in the michelsons' productions; changes of beats, tempo, complex track structures with many twists, beginnings, endings, turnarounds. lengthy intros of weird noises, laughter, ambient drones. some michelson records fetch high sums at collectors at this time, and rightfully so.
while many other of their contemporary artists around their decades became quite "famous" by now, known also to the dreaded "gabber" and "breakcore" crowd, the michelson sisters still seem to be kind of a secret hint, with a cult following. yet, they are already legends, in their regard, in their own way.

25 Years of Low Entropy

25 Years Of Low Entropy

I can't believe it's already 25 years! But it's true. The Low Entropy project was officially started back in 1997. The Experimental Hardcore scene was at its high, Speedcore had emerged and got bigger, bolder and wilder, Breakcore was the new thing and still taking shape... well, I guess you know these things.
This was the time I began to seriously dive into the world of music. And it has been quite a journey since. Many highs, many lows... many changes, many roads that got closed, but new ones opened... but it was always such a thrill, and a lot of fun. And I hope that, in those years that passed, I gave others some thrills and fun with my own music, too!
In order to celebrate 25 years of Low Entropy, here is a release with 29 tracks, a track for each year (and some bonus), in order to highlight what style and direction my music was in that year (of course, just approximately, as I've always been producing in multiple styles).
Starting with Noizy Hardcore, Speedcore, to darker, atmospheric Breakcore stuff... lots of experiments... and on to Doomcore and acidic Techno, to finally end at - Slowcore.
Have fun with this, because it for sure was a wild ride for me to follow this music, and to produce some music of my own, in all these years.
And let's never forget:
Hardcore will never die!

I will give a short description, explaining the background of each track a bit:

1987 (2014) Sönke's First

1997 was the start of Low Entropy, but of course this was not the start of doing music for me. I first got into producing electronic music when I was at the age of 6, and got into contact with some music programs on my older brother's Commodore Amiga 500 computer, such as Aegis Sonix or the mighty Soundtracker by Karsten Obarski. The latter I found confusing at first: "What, no normal musical notation? And it scrolls - vertically!?" But shortly after, I fell totally in love with it.
I did maybe 30-40 productions on these programs, mostly trying to do experimental music, and all of them have been lost in time - except this one, because I had memorized the notes and melodies, and in 2014, I decided to give it a kind of remix. The original idea of that song was to get away from the experimentalism a bit and to try to do a "catchy" melody for once, so it was fitting to give it a "Ravecore" frame this time. Can you still dig it?

1996 Alienation

I had the idea to do my own Hardcore productions from the moment I got into this scene (which was in the first quarter of 1996), but after doing some playing around, I felt not pleased with these first attempts at harder music. It took me a whole year to take up producing again - until 1997 - and to seriously commit me to this sound. Alienation was a track that was left over from these 1996 tryouts, and I decided to give it some tweaks and a re-vamp, and so it was done.

1997 Flatline

I used Impulse Tracker when I started creating hard stuff, and Flatline was the third track I produced on that software. It later got a vinyl release on Blut Records, too.
It's a noizy, very fast Hardcore track around 400 BPM, heavily inspired by the French productions of that time. The sound at the beginning of the track is meant to mimic flatlining on the ECG (i.e. dying) - hence the name of the track.

1998 Society (Has No Further Use For You)

Another Speedcore effort, taking a bit of inspiration of some rough demos of that year (for example by The Berzerker). I also tried to work a Doomcore melody in here, doing some kind of Doomcore-Noizecore crossover (which was not a common thing then). Meant as an anthem for everyone who felt that society has kicked oneself into the curb.

1999 I Am God

Lawnmower Man samples are always a treat. This shows some of my Breakcore explorations, there is an overload of sounds, and a hint of my darker Doomcore type melodies that were to come in my future productions.
The long break in the middle of the track is there because I hated that DJ friendly, continuous, dance-y stuff and wanted to do something different.

2000 Anything Is Possible

Matrix samples are even better than Lawnmower Man samples. Well, maybe not in today's view, but back then, I just adored this movie.
Sound wise, I tried to make the track as complex as possible, and totally get away from the normal "Hardcore" formula, thus I added lots of speed changes, breakdowns, twist, turns.
I later felt I overdid it this time, and that the track was being "weird for weird's sake", which was the reason I turned to more simple, minimal Acid and Hardcore stuff (at least that's how I would have described it back then); which in the end led to track like Urban Uprising and my whole journey into Doomcore and Techno sounds!

2001 Symphony Of Creative Destruction

A track that was a result of my experiments with Just Intonation and Microtonal melodies. The other idea of the track was: "how could have Techno sounded if it would not have went all House-y and Minimal in the late 90s, but would've continued to become harder and weirder?"
So a kind of retro-future-futurism that today would be retro (and, I think, future) again.
Released on Praxis vinyl.

2002 Don't Let Our Dreams Die

The title is a result of my disappointment with the crumbling of the 90s Experimental Hardcore scene after the turn of the millennium; it was a plea to this sound and scene, basically.
The sonic structure of this track is the dark synth / Industrial Breakcore formula, that I totally loved back then, and of course, still do.

2003 Second Uprising

For many people their favorite track of my early era of producing. A Doomcore Acidcore piece with some very heavy drums. Made it in a one night session before a gig.

2004 Angels & Devils

The most heavy tracks for my planned Praxis 2x12" and CD album, which due to some circumstances not related to the label, but also beyond my own control, was not released until 2018 - and this time digitally.
Apocalyptic sounds and beats.

2005 Wie Feuer In Meinen Augen

An attempt to do some EBM - Techno-ish type of track, with some surreal German words.

2006 Chorus 2

A straight mystical ambient affair.

2007 Moonlight

My return to some harder sounds with this quirky pop-like Hardcore track.

2008 The Dawn Of A New Era

The first "real" track I did after a nearly 4 year break of not doing Hardcore!
Noizy faster type affair again.

2009 Architecture 2

This was the second track I did for a planned "comeback" 12" for a label, which was never released.
Dark Breakcore stuff again!

2010 Melo (2010 Mix)

A rework of one of the earliest Doomcore tracks I did (back in my Impulse Tracker days!), this time with more ambience and harder beats.

2011 Hamburg Acid City (Full-On Acid Remix)

A celebration of the (Hardcore) city I live in. I tried to give it a sound similar to one of the styles that you could hear at harder parties here over the years.

2012 Fourth Uprising

Another favorite by a lot of people. The third sequel to my "Urban Uprising" track that was released on Black Monolith recordings.

2013 Futuristic 9

This shows another major switch in music production again; doing more complex tracks again, in a Techno style, with a "live recording" feel. (Yeah, well, it was live recorded actually, which explains that feel maybe ;) )

2014 Really Into This Space Stuff (Short Mix)

Dark cosmic Acid Techno affair here. Remixes of it have been released on vinyl but also digitally.

2015 The Doom Of Hamburg

My own fav of 2015. I often tried to do a track like this again, but rarely could do it. The elements just seem to blend into each other so nicely.

2016 Techno Stomper (feat. Countess M) (Short Hard Mix)

Ah yeah, hard beats, angry spoken word type vocals, and lots of acidic elements. A celebration of the early 90s Techno sound that I love so much.

2017 Creeping Doom

1 BPM Slowcore. At the point of production, maybe the slowest Hardcore track in existence. Very Doomcore-ish feel. Ended up in some "best tracks of 2017" chart in a magazine, maybe Groove or The Wire UK, I can't remember.

2018 Moment Of Terror

Just some frantic Doomcore again. With some Oldschool Hoover feel.

2019 Golden Galaxy

Again, an experiment in different forms of melodies. Added with Doomcore beats and sounds and lots of distortion.

2020 I Am The Storm

A return to Speedcore! I love 16th note type melodies, do you do, too? And when they are underscored with double or quadruple basses, it's even better!
A storm is coming.

2021 This Is History

The track I did for the Slowcore Compilation on Doomcore records. Very ambient, movie-score like feel. 4 BPM.

2022 Shine On (Short Mix)

Another Slowcore track, which is a genre I am really into now. With the title, I tried to encourage others to stay strong and go on in what feels like a very dreary world.
It's also a good track to wrap up this 25 years collection.

Bonus: This Is Where I Stand.

A bit of a mix between EBM, Acid and Hardcore again, but the centerpiece is the speech in this track, which is a message I really want to put across, so it made sense to choose this one as a bonus track.

90s Experimental Hardcore Mix

When talking about 90s Hardcore, people will usually think of 4/4 beats, distorted claps, hoovers, maybe a "motherfuck" shout or similar vocals, rap and maybe guitar samples... and yeah, a lot of tracks back then ran in that vein.
But there were also many artists, labels, and releases, that were way different to that stuff, that tried to be experimental, bold, avantgarde...
Employing different rhythms, sonic experiments, weird and surreal sounds... often also with very dark and gloomy atmospheres. Drawing influences from other forms of music such as Industrial, Musique Concrete, Contemporary Classical and more - as well as going for wholly new things!
And this mix tries to look back at some of these tracks from the 90s. True Experimental Hardcore.

Nordmyt

Voldo should be far from being an unknown artist, since he is a true veteran of the early Speedcore scene, with, for example, releases on Hate System and being involved in the United Speedcore Nation. Extreme music activism for decades!
But for this release on our label, he brings us something very different: eclectic Doomcore, Industrial Hardcore, Dark Techno... very experimental, very ambient, and plenty of bold sound architecture choices.
The overarching theme here is Norse Mythology, with twisted, dark tales about trolls, mystic wolves, Ragnarok...
Magical and enchanted Doomcore!
This is essentially a conceptual "auteur" music EP - one of the things we like best - so if you are willing to check out something different from the many bland releases coming in these days - take a listen immediately!
