Biography

I was born in 1980 into the dark and rainy city of Hamburg in Northern Germany.
At the age of 14 I got into the Techno and Rave wave that swept over Europe. I always craved harder music, so I eventually I got into Hardcore and Gabber. From there on I discovered more genres such as Speedcore, Breakcore, Acid- and Doomcore.
The desire to become a music producer myself formed.
And, so I did, beginning to seriously produce in autumn 1997.

I never tried to limit myself to one style, so I produced Speedcore, Breakcore, Dark Ambient, Noize - well, back then essentially if all of this was part of the "Experimental Hardcore" scene.
In 1998 I got more and more interested in productions that did not just have "Speed, Noise and Distortion", but also dark or futuristic atmospheres and melodies. I tried to incorporate this into my sound too.
1998 was also the year that saw my first vinyl appearance: a 800 Bpm Speedcore affair called "Adrenaline Junkie", released on the Biophilia Allstars compilation.

In 2000 my first full vinyl EP was released, the "Anti-Sedative" EP on Blut Records.
Vinyls that followed were the Kougai split Ep with Cdatakill, the Anarcho-Psychotic EP on Praxis, and the self titled 2x12" on Widerstand.
I got a bit disappointed in the way the Breakore and other scenes evolved, and I became very interested in the Techno side of Hardcore again.
The result of this was the Acid Massacre EP on Black Monolith, and the Doomcore styled "Emerald Planet" 12" on the same label (including a The Man Unknown remux).
My final farewell to the Breakcore scene was the "Malfunction" EP for Praxis, which to a number of reasons (not their fault) was not released until 2018.

I had to take a break from the Hardcore scene beginning in 2004 due to reasons I explained elsewhere.
I got back in 2008. As the concept of releasing on vinyl had diminished, I started to release digitally, first on my own, then on established netlabels.
Around 2011 I started to focus my production on Doomcore; and to this day, this is the style most of my newer tracks are in. And this is also the style I'm most known for.
While my interest in producing Doomcore began with the desire to include Techno rhyhms in my music, this was later joined by the fascination towards dark, haunting or generally out of the ordinary melodies.
But I also kept producing other music, too, such as Speedcore and Dark Ambient.

This was the beginning of a very intensive wave of producing tracks and doing releases. Until 2021, I did over 200 relesses on digital, vinyl, CD, cassette, and produced somewhere between 1500-2000 tracks.
2019 saw the release of my first full length EP on vinyl after 14 years, the "Pleiades EP" on Teknoland Productions.

Apart from doing my own music, I also run a label for other people's music: Doomcore Records. This label focuses on Doomcore and generally darker styles of Electronic music.
In recent years, I have also become an author and wrote several e-books on topics such as the 90s Hardcore scene and Anarchism, or collections of short stories and poems.

My music has been mentioned in magazines such as The Wire, Fact Magazine or Les Inrockuptibles.
Labels that released my music include Viral Conspiracy, Ende, Legs Akimbo, New York Haunted, Pitch Dark, Noisj, and lots of others.
