Freedom Fighter

Info by ENDE Records:

(ENDE392) Low Entropy - Freedom Fighter

Comrades!!! German first wave breakcore/hardcore legend Low Entropy has returned to ENDE Records with another edition of his antifascist/psychedelic doomcore and interplanetary acid!

Arcade game radar bleeps, asteroid sized 909 kicks, swirling squelches and floating outer space melodies. Interwoven with thick, luscious pads and saws sending us further into the stratosphere, far from conservative fascist eyes and into the socialist heavens where we all can be free!

On "Freedom Fighter" Low Entropy looks to the stars and beyond while marrying doomcore/old school gabber, Eno style synths and low end, spacious ambient music like some kind of gabber Aasimov to show that hardcore was never meant to be one dimensional and always had the potential to seek new horizons!

Low Entropy is no stranger to doomcore, breakcore, industrial hardcore, gabber or synthwave acid of course. He is the head of German label Doomcore Records and a longtime veteran of various underground hardcore electronic scenes starting with breakcore in the late 90s and with more than 200 releases on CD, cassette, vinyl and digital worldwide on labels from Viral Conspiracy and Night Terror Recordings to Praxis and Black Monolith now with almost 25 years in the game.

LOW ENTROPY
Low Entropy is no stranger to ENDE Records. One of the few old school pioneers still producing and releasing since 1998 and now running Doomcore Records.

Clakbastard

A wonderful followup mix by Clakbastard for the DCR PC!
Marvelous stuff, Techno and sounds from the depths, cavernous, chilling... crushed by it's massive walls of dark matter.
Doomcore, Industrial, even Dark Wave and other tricks. A very bold mixture!
But, without further words, head straight to the mix and listen to its full power!

Is it better to be a sheep or a wolf? Or a scorpion?

Stats

Some stats: between 2012 and 2022, I wrote and produced 2.643 different tracks, with a total runtime of 247 hours, 43 minutes and 5 seconds.

If you would listen to either 10 tracks, or one hour of this music, every day, you would need more than 8 months to listen to it all.

Done in an effort to help kickstart an anarchist revolution by spreading aggressive and disruptive sounds.

Still on a mission.

Noistruct

We are very pleased to present a mixset for the Doomcore Records Pod Cast by Noistruct from Australia. He should be far from unknown to people in the Hardcore scene, having done plenty of releases on various formats for many, many labels (Discogs lists 111 releases in total), as well as running several labels himself, including ENDE Records - plus being a relentless activist in the HC world for several decades now!

For the DCR PC, he did a mix that combines various dark and rough electronic genres, such as Industrial, Dark Ambient, dirty Breakcore, and even Kraftwerk.

So if you're in for an eclectic mixture of sounds that are interesting and experimental, take a listen!

Underground Futuristic Organisation

There are plenty of underrated labels from the 90s, but rarely is a label so deserving of that title as U.F.O., aka Underground Futuristic Organisation, out of London.
Almost forgotten now, it was host to some of the best and most interesting releases of the 90s. Two excellent EPs by the one and only Lasse Steen under different monikers (as usual). A rare apperance of Vdd Energise who did only a few releases in the 90s - brilliant as usual.
Two brutal releases by Lee Humphreys himself (one of these together with Ken Dutrieue), who seemingly was also behind the label as a whole. A curious release by Max de Grote. But last but not least - the Passages EP by Somatic Responses, which shook the underground music world when it was released, ended up in everyone's fanzine top 10 chart features, and even made it onto German mainstream TV (featured in a small segment about Christoph de Babalon's DJ activities).
These releases really left a mark on the Hardcore and other scenes, so it's time to look back on this label again.
This mix showcases some of the gems to be found there. Acid, Hardcore, Techno, darkness, in various BPMs, it's all here.

Tracklisting:

01. Choose - Fatality At Work - A1
02. DSL - Void
03. Dark Unitz - Precision Muted
04. M. De Grote - Little Ann
05. Somatic Responses - Passage
06. Choose - Fatality At Work
07. DSL - Nitrous
08. Choose - Fatality At Work - B2
09. Vdd Energise Vs. Valium - Rotronic
10. DSL+Fluokid - Dark Force
11. Dark Unitz - Cold Crush Console
12. Somatic Responses - Milk Jugs
13. DSL+Fluokid - Inferno
14. Dark Unitz - Kondensimated
15. DSL - Tunnel Vison
16. Somatic Responses - Freezing Point
17. Dark Unitz - Slack-Jaw-Yokel
18. M. De Grote - X-Perience 5004
19. Vdd Energise Vs. Valium - Insert Disk 1
20. DSL+Fluokid - Rasher Flasher
21. Vdd Energise Vs. Valium - Windows

Fuckparade 2000 Weekend Diary

Just re-discovered this little Fuckparade Weekend diary that I wrote in 2000, which was later published in Datacide and some other magazines / fanzines.

I couldn't find it on the internet anymore, so I decided to put this small piece of Hardcore history on here instead!
I was age 19 when I wrote this, so excuse some of my "youthful mindset / wording / language" in this text :) (and sorry for some Stellwerk and other negative remarks I wrote back then!)
(Spelling etc. errors not corrected).
This extended weekend took place from 6.7.2000 to 8.7.2000 in Berlin.
Enjoy!

thursday:
gerald&baze.djunkiii drove me from hamburg to berlin(thanx!) where we
were supposed to play at the fuckparade-warmup-party at the maria. in
the evening we arrived in berlin and they dropped me at
christoph&rachael's place where i slept at the weekend. later i went
with them to the maria. the party was supposed to start at 22:00 but
did not do so before 23:00... the party was also quite over-booked,
the artists were booked with 3 floors in mind but the maria only had 2
floors available!
anyway, the party started with gerald DJing on the 2nd floor... he
played some cool breakcore stuff - many classic tracks from the likes
of ambush/dhr... quite nice! after him baze.djunkiii played, cant
remember what he played but i think it was breakcore too. then trauma
XP played some gabba/speedcore records, some of them were boring, some
of them were cool(like the epiteth one).
on the main floor there was mostly ambient/experimental for the first
hours of the party. this changed when christoph de babalon went on and
spun some really harsh breakcore/noize/speedcore tracks, which incited
the crowd to do some wild pogo dancing - woohoo!
next were the society suckers on the 2nd floor who played some great
breakcore stuff. then multipara spun some noizecore record, but was
stopped by the maria people after 15 minutes of his set, cuz they
wanted to close the 2nd floor. on the main floor alexdee and then
ashtar dxd played, but i didnt check out most of their sets cuz i
chilled in the backstage area so i cant comment on them.
then peter poellinger, who organized the party, informed me that i
could not play since they had to close in a hour  :-( this sucked.
eiterherd, who was supposed to play after me did not get to play
either.
but it really was an excellent party anyway, and peter poellinger
promised me that the next party that he throws will be a bit better
organized :-)

friday:
after breakfast, at which dj scud played us his favorite garage
records(hehe), i checked out a cool record store called "public noise"
which had lots of old techno CDs; i bought a CD from 1992 featuring
such classics as "no women allowed", "navigator" and "alles naar de
klote" - nice!
at night i went to a gabber party at the stellwerk where eiterherd was
supposed to play. the location was quite cool, in the middle of
nowhere, pretty fuqed and hardcore, with smoked filled rooms. xol dog
400 went on and played his usual stuff, bunker-type industrial
hardcore, i liked some of the tracks he played (like the classic "der
flammenwerfer" or "chefstricher"). trauma xp was okay too, his set was
in a similiar style to his set of thursday.
i left before eitherherd played cuz i needed to get some sleep for the
fuckparade and after party at saturday.
on the next day eitherherd told me that when he played some gabbers
jumped on the stage and yelled at him cuz he did play breakcore, and
later they even cut of his power supply so he was forced to quit! so
if you ever come to berlin dont go to the stellwerk, boycot those
stupid gabba fucks!

saturday:
the day of the actual parade. there were around 28 fuck trucks
announced, dont know how much of them actually made it to the parade,
but there for sure were a lot of trucks at the parade! there were only
a few hardcore trucks, though. the size of the parade was quite big,
you had to walk a mile to get from the first truck to the last truck.
there were also lots of people at the parade, someone said around
10.000 people but that might be overestimated.
i played at the truck of the maria, which was actually my first live
act ever, and a *really* satisfying experience, woohoo!
i didnt get to check out most of the other trucks, but i heard the
truck of the insel was quite good too. anyway, the parade was fucking
excellent, for sure.
around 21:00 i left the parade, got some food, chilled a bit, and went
to the afterparty at the insel.
when i arrived xol dog 400 was playing at the hardcore floor, the same
tracks that he played at friday.
there were also 2 other floors, one floor was an old school
techno/breakbeat floor where classics like "age of love" or "9 is a
classic" were played - very nice!
i didnt check out the peace off crew and sonic dragolo cuz i wanted to
reserve my energy for christoph&hecate, the berzerker and dj scud.
when christoph&hecate went on the hardcore floor was already quite
crowded, not much room for pogo or any other dancing, so i spent most
time utilizing the 3rd dimension, i.e. jumping around.
christoph&hecate played a hard-as-fuck breakcore set. truly powerful
and creative music. excellent.
after them berzerker played. his stuff was truly incredible, the
hardest speedmetal mixed with speedcore beats ... that stuff punched
one right through ones skull... excellent.
then panacea played, i dont like his music, so i had time to chill
until DJ scud played. He spun some dope-ass noize-breakcore stuff in
the ambush style... very cool...
after him laurent ho played some very nice noizecore, great stuff, and
then we left.

all in all those were some truly blasting days in berlin, i dont think
i ever felt that great in my life!

thanx to rach and christoph for letting me stay at their place,
thanx to the DJs and live acts who played some wicked stuff,
thanx to daniel, marek, jan, basti, michael, bolkow and all the others
for partying with me and being dope blokes!

Static Anger

Did you like the French Hardcore sound of the 90s and early 2000s? Do you miss it?
Well today is your lucky day, punk, because this release, by Static Anger from Brittany, brings back a lot of the great things of that era.
Brutal, distorted drums and high speed, piercing percussion, but most importantly, that whole surrealist / dada approach to sound architecture that made this era so amazing.
Underlined by industrial soundscapes, shrill screams, odd samples, all-out noise... you get it.
This is some heavy, mental, adrenaline driven shit right there.
So if you think fondly of the artist and labels of those days, give this one a go.
Of course, it's not "stuck in the past" but has some very modern ideas too.
Something for every Hard-Head.

Bohemian

Past Swim Short Live Acts

The pic on the left was taken directly after my live act at All-Out Demolition! II, a party we did in a squat in Hamburg, focusing on Acidcore, Doomcore, Speedcore, and similar sounds, back in 2002 - which was the biggest party we did at that point, with several hundred visitors partying from 10 pm to 6 am to noise and flashing lights.
At that time I used to strip down to my swim shorts during my live acts.
Why did I do that? Plenty of reasons, but one of the main ones was that this was the time when "Hardcore" performances by DJs and acts became - or tried to become - very macho, "brutal", "rough" - you get the point - while the sounds played were usually just some cheesy bullshit. I hated that poser shit.
So I thought me performing on stage, just clad in my not-so-cool swim shorts, would set a bit of a counterpoint to this.
Eventually the trend swung in the other direction, and especially in the Breakcore scene live performances became over-the-top silly, to the point of getting annoying, or meaningless, so I eventually dropped these antics.

The pic of me became a bit of a cult picture though, and, for example, ended up being put on a picture vinyl release.
So, I thought, 20 years later, it's the right time to re-create this shot!
And thus, here it is.

Doomed Hamburg Breakcore

Unbelievable! But 21 years after I stopped producing Breakcore music, here is a whole new album of new Breakcore tracks by me.
To get to the original 90s Breakcore sound, I loaded lots of original Amiga 500 sounds into a tracker DAW and tried to mend it with breaks and other noises.
Can you still dig it?
Released on Les Ombres Torturées Records.
11 tracks, 44 minutes.

Omnicore Records is the label for *all* styles of music. So after Early Rave Core, extremely Noizy Speedcore, Acid, Dark Ambient, and plenty of other shenanigans, we bring you an atmospheric Breakcore release by Disrrr!
This release bridges Oldschool Breakcore with newer ideas; there is definitely an influence here by labels like Praxis, Ambush, Fischkopf... you name it. Dark distorted breakbeats fighting against a wall of gloomy melodies, ambient sounds and industrial drones; very introspective, very cold, very rough.
There are also plenty of modern twists, too, though, but never venturing into cheesy categories or senseless IDM choppiness (you get the point).
Also very spiffy production values here, and a great dose of variation in the tracks... some lean more towards DnB, some more do Dub, some into sounds beyond terms... no monotony here!
10 tracks and 36 minutes of music.
So if you're a fan of the early style of Breakcore, check this out. If you are a fan of newer Breakcore... check it! And if you're a fan of music in general... what are you waiting for?

Slowcore Techno Showcase

Low Entropy - Slowcore Techno Showcase Mix (1-96 BPM)

Slowcore is an ever growing genre of extremely Slow Hardcore Techno, starting below 126 BPM and going down to 1 BPM or even slower, with heavy influences from Doomcore, Industrial and Dark Ambient.
This is a mix that showcases some Slowcore tracks - even though they are of my own production, I want to spread awareness of the genre as a whole with this mix.

If you want to dive further into the sound of Slowcore:

Slowcore Records is a label specifically for this genre.
