Electro Acid Terrorists

It is as the title implies, on this Split EP by two artists on Omnicore Records. Angry, rageful, caustic Electro and Acid sounds.
We don't need to introduce Brandon Spivey, right? Bona fide legend and veteran of political Acid and Hardcore music.

His track is a Techno-Electro-Acid workout.
Psychedelic, nasty, chaotic, but also groovy and bass-heavy. Rage *and* Trance-inducing.

Low Entropy's track is a rework of his 2020 'quarantine hit' "Berghain Still Sucks".
Clocking at well over 200 bpm, and going into total distortion and overdrive on this Acid Hardcore production.

We hope you will enjoy this release.

How to write music with ChatGPT: Part 5

Hello,
It's your host again - Low Entropy.
Here is another tutorial for creating a track with ChatGPT.

This is a bit different to the other tutorials (well, to be honest, all were different to each other).
For example, in part 4, we had a tutorial that was about giving ChatGPT very clear and ordered "instructions", to get precise answers, essentially to have a full track created by the AI in the end.
This is more brain-stormy here, exploring different options, inquiring about things... like a "production dialogue" between me and the AI.
When listening to the final track, you will see that while I followed ChatGPT in almost all things in some areas, such as the precise notes and rhythms the AI gave me, the vocals, and so on, in other areas I used the ideas by ChatGPT more as inspiration, improvising and modulating on it, for example when it came to the structure of the track.
But I think it's important to show this side of AI music production, too. That, of course, you don't always have to follow the AI 100% in each step, but combine it with your own creative efforts, too!

By the way: in order to get the lyrics that ChatGPT created for me into vocals that I could use for the track, I used typecast.ai https://typecast.ai/

And the actual tutorial, with the chat transcript and "step-by-step" instructions, can be found here:

Swell

Things are going really swell for me right now.

1. A big AI company contacted me, telling me they like my activities in the sector of AI music generation, and wanted me to check and test their newest AI for them before it gets a public release, which I am doing right now.

2. Also a Hardcore collective contacted me, wanting me to do some AI stuff for them.

3. And a guy messaged me, saying he is in contact with some Hardcore porn companies / directors, and think my music would fit right to some upcoming video productions!

Experimental therapeutic hardcore techno for mitigating severe mental health issues

I discovered Hardcore Techno as a teenager with extreme mental health issues. Listening to this music helped me extremely with these problems.
I eventually started producing Hardcore myself. And the thought quickly came to me that my own productions could help me with my own problems as well. And they did. Tremendously.

To the point that I would probably be homeless, institutionalized, whatever, maybe worse - without being a Hardcore Techno producer.

Now, over the years, through my involvement in the Hardcore scene, I met lots of people, both in the "real world" and online, who also had severe mental health issues, sometimes better, sometimes worse than me.
And now and then, they told me that listening to the tracks I made for my *own* problems, helped them with *their* problems, too! And that "my" music actually helped them tremendously, and changed their lives to the better.

And I don't say this because 'it feeds my ego'. But because, being told this, I came to the thought that I could try to produce tracks in such a way, that it has a potential effect which aids others who are inflicted with these types of problem. To at least *try* to create something that is at least *partially* a cure. (If you don't think that art and music and hardcore *could* have a "therapeutic" effect... well, then I probably can't convince you of this. But I know that art has this power). And this way, I could do something *good* in this world for a change, and not return to the ashes at the end of my life, having wasted my energies.

This then become one of my biggest motifs when producing Hardcore. I wanted to created art that helps others with their mental health issues.

I always assumed this method is not without dangers. "Unleashing" an experimental art therapy... there are lots of things that could go wrong this way. It's one of the main reasons I tried to keep my music "underground", staying away from major labels and major exposure (and often actively sabotaging their efforts to "pull me out of the shadows" and into the public view).

To soothe my conscience, I always hoped that the music itself acts as the "gatekeeper" and lets the right ones in; i.e. that those who have these issues, yet are still drawn to my music, are drawn to it for the very reason that they feel it helps their condition, and does not worsen it!

(Nowadays, my take is that, yeah, what you do does have consequences. There is no 100% safe way in everything. You just gotta have faith, right? And try to do the best you can do.)

By the way, over time, my music attracted quite some wonderful and extreme "lunatics"... but that's another story!

So, here is a selection of tracks I made with the intention to help people with their mental health problems. (The list will be amended over time, so you can came back later to this post, and check it.)
in the list the specific issue to be cured is mentioned (such as depression, anxiety), next to the name of the track (put out on various releases).

So, handle this with care. I can't guarantee there is a help, aid, or cure in *for you*, maybe it will make your condition worse, or things will start to get strange for you quickly.
Let me tell you: I don't assume this would happen, not at all! But I thought a word of warning might be good.

To come to the conclusion of this text.
I hope I can help some people with these tracks on it in some way.
And regardless of this, I wish you the best, and hope you find some good possibilities to deal with your condition(s).

Oh, and if you think that these tracks, or even other music I produced, actually *did* help you, please contact me. Not only would i love this feedback, but it could also make it easier for me to produce similar tracks in the future. and if you had adverse effects, or bother bizarre things happened, you can contact me too, of course.

The list:

anxiety (i'm cracking up)

angst (there is no future)

depression (nothingness)

psychosis (psychotic break)

schizophrenia (unreal slowcore)

depression (the last moon)

depression (help me master)

repressed rage (nihilism)

burn out (burned out)

heartbreak (until the end)

heartbreak (love)

Back to Raise Hell

Originally released on Penguin Terror Records in 2019.
Now available on Bandcamp too!

Gabber, Doomcore, Techno, and Speedcore.

Redneck Rave

Hee-Haw! Doomcore Records presents a new Pod Cast by GabberGirl.
GabberGirl is a true veteran of the Midwest Hardcorps, and for the D.R.P.C. she cooked up something special - a "Redneck Rave" mix.

According to her, "I thought it would be fun to make a totally American set, and got the idea to mix hardcore with country rap, with a white trash/redneck theme. All about muddin, turtle dovin' drinking moonshine out of the mason jar, & leaving Christmas lights up on the porch year round".
But apart from all the redneck-ism which gives this mix a special touch - it's still a true rough, dark, and brutal Hardcore and Gabber set, sombre distorted music, like you are used to on this Pod Cast channel.

So, without further a-do (or Hee-Haw!), here is GabberGirl with her mix!

Halter

Omnicore Records presents the debut release of newcomer Halter.

Do you like the Early Hardcore revival? We do, too. But we notice that most of the releases in that era focus on one aspect of the 90s Hardcore scene - that typical hoover-heavy, dance-y Gabber sound, often with cute melodies and samples.
Not bad. Not bad at all. But the 90s had so much more to offer! And this is what we are doing here.
According to Halter, he is influenced by 90s labels and artists like Headfuck, Burning Lazy Persons, De Klootzakken, and early Rotterdam Records.
And we think one can hear that in this release!

So without further ado, Hardcore heads, please have a listen!

 Slight Woody Guthrie reference ;-)

Love Music. Hate People.

Terrornoize Industry asked me to do an entry for their "Love music. Hate people" podcast, that was also broadcasted on Toxic Sickness at the same time.
To me, this is more than just a live set... more like a "best of" of my Terror and Speedcore tracks from recent years.

In Memory of Darius Gawlik

Darius has been gone for almost 4 years now... and I miss him... and I'm not the only one...
So many visions left unfulfilled... so many projects left uncompleted...

Here is a feeble attempt to help keeping the memory of him alive... of course it's a free release...
3 tracks that he asked me to remix for him... in completely new versions.

Hardcore and Techno tracks created by an Artificial Intelligence

The first Hardcore Techno release created by an AI!

All these tracks have been written and envisioned by Artificial Intelligence. For the full extent of their involvement, in every detail, see below (and check the links)

This release is connected to a series of tutorials, features, and activities that aim to spread knowledge about the possibilities of Artificial Intelligence regarding music production, with the main focus on the production of hardcore techno. And to help other artists and musicians to incorporate the power of AI into their own creations, too!

More information;

"The advent of AI is sweeping through the world right now, and gaining massive momentum.
Many sectors of society are effected by this, like finance, journalism, education - and art.
While AI made a big impact on fields like visual art in the moment, we think the world of music is still lacking in this aspect, and especially the world of electronic music, and most especially - the realm of Hardcore Techno.

We want to help spread the idea of AI into the world of Hardcore, Techno, and music production and general."

What do you want to know regarding AI?

So, as you know, I'm trying to spread some information of how AI could be useful for hardcore producers and hardcore musicians.
I've already written two tutorials and three tracks, one for creating a 90s hardcore techno track, one for creating an oldschool acid track, and a rave hardcore track.

The response has been overwhelming so far, and this is literally an understatement.

But what I want to ask is: what should I focus on next?
What would be useful for you?
Creating a Speedcore track with AI? Doomcore? Acidcore?
Or something else - entirely?
Is this "tutorial to create a whole track" thing even the right format?
Maybe I should better do a list of "prompts" that would be useful for producers!

So, if you are curious about using AI for your own productions, and are interested in the ideas I share, let me know what you would like to hear about next - and what would be most useful for your productions!
What do you want to learn about regarding AI?

Also, general comments or remarks about the tracks / tutorials are okay, too ;-)

AI is growing fast, and information regarding music is still scarce, so I think it's important to get on it!
