Malfunction EP - All Stems
https://lowentropy.bandcamp.com/album/malfunction-ep-all-stems
I created these stems on the occasion of last year's Malfunction EP remix competition; which was completed successfully, and the remix EP has been released on Nethercords since then.
I now had the idea to make the original stems available, too.
I.e. a release with just stems - no complete tracks!
I do this for the following reasons:
1. It's like a reverse-remix competition - or an open-aim competition. Feel free to download the stems, play around with them, manipulate them, add new sequences, things, whatever. There is no deadline, there are no style limits, there is no pre-made plan for a release; nothing. But if you make something good with it, at whatever point, in whatever way, feel free to send it my direction, and maybe a release or something else will still come out of it. But - there is no pressure, no fixed concept that is enforced, no path that has been already set.
2. Build your own track! Maybe you think the drums could be more distorted, the synths were too loud, some bass-lines or other elements needed to be added, maybe even vocals? More Bass, EQ, FX? Download the stems, manipulate them and create your own mix-down of the tracks!
3. Even back when I was using Impulse Tracker in the 90s, I've often been asked to make the .Mod files (essentially the project files) available - but I never did. So, this is finally something in that vein; not the whole of the files, but at least the stems.
3. "I donate this body of art to science!". Well, no, I don't. But maybe they have some educational value, and (newcomer) producers can look at these sounds and see how a Hardcore is (or can be) made up? "Listen and try to learn something".
4. Older Techno and Dance tracks often had various mixes on one EP (well, I assume they still often do). Including mix-downs without vocals, or synths / melodies (just bass-drum and percussion), or, on the opposite, without beats. This is taking this approach to the extreme: a multitude of "tracks" that are just pure stems without any other elements added.
5. And, well to be honest, it's not that novel. Early Techno, Dance, Rap releases, as well as those from other genres, occasionally had extra tracks that were really just the "single track" of a multi-track mix-down (even in the days of analog band-machine mixing). Just the vocals, for example, or just the beats. So this is a continuation of this tradition, in a sense. (And again, it's still done today, too).
So, that's it. Feel free to play around with these stems, and, as I said, if something interesting happens, you can contact me.

The Tributes Of Terror
James Faircloth should be far from being an unknown producer, having released on labels such as Viral Conspiracy, SEUA, Ende, Saw Blade, or Doomcore Records in the past and having gained his own fan base by now!
For his first release on Omnicore Records he created something special for us; an EP made up of tribute tracks to classic and legendary Terror and Speedcore producers; with a special focus on the 90s era, when these styles of Hardcore took root and had some of their finest moments (and releases!).
These tracks are in our opinion worthy tributes and have an excellent production quality.
They're brutal, dirty, menacing tracks, driven by pounding and hammering 909s at a high speed, screams, distorted FX, haunting and dark synths... like you would expect from James F!
So if you're a Terrorhead - we think this is just the right release for you. The tributes of terror, indeed!
James F - The Tributes Of Terror (Omnicore 19)

My Slowcore Releases
I've been pushing the Slowcore sound for a few years now; but most of my releases have been literally "all over the map" in the sense that they have been released on a lot of different labels and places, and might get a bit buried under all the stuff I did in other categories, and also lost under all the music that generally gets released by all the producers and labels on weekly basis.
So, as Slowcore productions are still kind of rare and not easy to find, I thought of compiling a list of my Slowcore releases so far.
This Is The Sound Of Slowcore
The very beginning! A compilation of still very experimental attempts at Slowcore by me. Includes two 1 BPM tracks (yes, one BPM) which were among the slowest Hardcore tracks ever at that point.
Slowcore And More
As the title implies, not a full Slowcore album, but intermersed with tracks in other styles (mostly Doomcore).
My first Slowcore-themed release on a label. My Slowcore sound had taken a very dark turn by then.
The Slowcore Anthem / The Man In The Low Castle
Not meant to taken entirely serious, this is an attempt at a kind of anthem for the new Slowcore genre.
Features me in a mocking voice at either 50 or 100 BPM. As a bonus, there are two Industrial Doomcore tracks.
The Ultimate Slowcore Collection
This compilation includes most of the Slowcore tracks I had done at the point of release, from a multitude of labels, years, as well as self-released and totally obscure sounds. Maybe a good introduction into my Slowcore music?
Slowcore Dance
Now we are talking! My Slowcore productions took up a lot of speed by then; not in the sense of BPMs, of course, but I now was very seriously dedicated to push the Slowcore sound ahead.
More a compilation than an album (on the new Slowcore Records label!), this combines new, old, rare and unreleased Slowcore tracks by me.
Slow On Memory - 1990s Era Tracker Slowcore
Well, who would have thought? I already had been producing Slowcore tracks in the 90s era, when people knew me more for my frantic Speedcore and Breakcore stuff.
Of course, I didn't call it "Slowcore" back then - but I was already hugely into doing tracks at speeds very low tempo, 60 BPM or slower.
This is a look back at this period.
Slowcore Rules The World
My very first Slowcore EP with all-new Slowcore tracks, ranging from 120 to 15 BPM and dealing with the devil, death, lockdowns, and inferno.
Open Your Mind To Slowcore
Another "mixed bag" with old and new tracks, backbone of the album, is the eponymous track, which I intended as a sort of introductory track to the Slowcore sound (and urges people to be more open minded towards it!)
A Light In A Dark Place
This is the opposite to the former very somber releases. Instead of producing something dark, I tried to give a message of hope in a world that had become very dark by itself.
Completed with Slowcore tracks from past and present by me, again.
The Final Hour
Despite the title, this album continues the the positive message of the former release, and tries to encourage people to go on even in "the final hour".
Ecstasy Of Slowcore
A collection of more dark and brutal tracks. Includes "Slowcore Lacrima", which is another attempt at an anthemic Slowcore track. Also features some big Rave / Techno arena kinda tracks.
Light Of Long Dead Stars
My first Slowcore collaboration release, with the one and only Der Cherep!
This is a Cosmic Horror themed release with many allusions to the works of H.P. Lovecraft.
Also a very distorted, Industrial sound this time.
Doors To The Pleasures
A conceptual Slowcore album with all new tracks!
I am very happy with this one and, personally, I consider this to be one of the best productions I did in any genre. Because I am satisfied with the ingredients and balance here: the right amount of darkness but also some light themes, very, very distorted drums but also parts that are more like Techno, and some heady musings that still don't take the ability to dance to the sound away - in my opinion, at least!

The Slowcore Sessions
Was very happy to do this release on the label of Astrid Gnosis. She did a great job at the art and promo, and the release even got a little music video for one of the tracks.
Stylistically, this is exploring something different again: very cinematic, (dark) ambient-esque, soundscape tracks. Pinned down by ultra-distorted, heavy (and heady!) beats.

Slowcore Stompers
My return to the Brazil-based label Antropofagia Records. This is a very extreme release, with plenty of noise, overdriven beats and generally abrasive sounds. As well as sudden tempo changes, as some tracks venture into Speedcore.
A more chaotic, experimental approach to the Slowcore genre.

Slowcore Insurgency
As the name says, this is more radical, aggressive music again, something to really push your adrenaline and get you moving.
But there are also more calm Techno and even Trance-y sounds included!
That's it for now, if I got you curious, maybe you want to check out some of these sounds, and I hope to do many more Slowcore tunes in the future!

My Little Songbook
Composers like Bach, Beethoven, Mozart etc. wrote a lot of great music, right?
But back in their days, they and other, and lesser known musicians, of course didn't "get their music out on vinyl", or digital, or, essentially, any other form of physical or non-physical music that is common today.
Works were written down on music sheets, and that's the way we still have access to their music and can still listen to it today.
I want to get a bit back to these old methods; so instead of actually producing a real, existing track, that's a .wav file and could be released in various formats - why not just write my music down?
And, as I'm not good at music notation or writing sheet music, I decided to just write down the songs as - pure text - and "release" them in this way.
You will see that the four songs here are slightly inspired by songs that are well known and have been out in the wide world for a while now. The theme of this release is religion and belief, the god, devil, heaven, hell, do you understand, finally?
And, it should not be taken exactly serious.
So here it is! My first music release in purely textual format.
Low Entropy - My Little Songbook
Songs:
1. What If
2. Sexual Jesus
3. Fucking Demons Instead
4. Sympathy for the Lord
Texts:
1. What If
If Satan had a secret name what would it be?
And would you call it to his face?
If you were faced with Him in all His glory
What would you ask if you had just one question?
And yeah, yeah, Satan is great
Yeah, yeah, Satan is good
Yeah, yeah, yeah-yeah-yeah
What if Satan was one of us?
Just a slob like one of us
Just a stranger on the bus
Tryin' to make his way home?
If Satan had a face what would it look like?
And would you want to see
If seeing meant that you would have to believe
In things like hell and in Beelzebub and the devils
And all the demons?
And yeah, yeah, Satan is great
Yeah, yeah, Satan is good
Yeah, yeah, yeah-yeah-yeah
What if Satan was one of us?
Just a slob like one of us
Just a stranger on the bus
Tryin' to make his way home?
Just tryin' to make his way home
Back down to hell all alone
Nobody callin' on the phone
'Cept for the Pope, maybe in Rome
And yeah, yeah, Satan is great
Yeah, yeah, Satan is good
Yeah, yeah, yeah-yeah-yeah
What if Satan was one of us?
Just a slob like one of us
Just a stranger on the bus
Tryin' to make his way home?
Just tryin' to make his way home
Like a cursed rolling stone?
Back down to hell all alone
Just tryin' to make his way home
Nobody callin' on the phone
'Cept for the Pope maybe in Rome
2. Sexual Jesus
Reach out, touch faith
Your own sexual Jesus
Someone to hear your prayers
Someone who cares
Your own sexual Jesus
Someone to hear your prayers
Someone who's there
Feeling unknown
And you're all alone
Flesh and bone
By the telephone
Lift up the receiver
I'll make you a believer
Take second best
Put me to the test
Things on your chest
You need to confess
I will deliver
You know I'm a forgiver
Reach out, touch faith
Reach out, touch faith
Your own sexual Jesus
Someone to hear your prayers
Someone who cares
Your own sexual Jesus
Someone to hear your prayers
Someone who's there
Feeling unknown
And you're all alone
Flesh and bone
By the telephone
Lift up the receiver
I'll make you a believer
I will deliver
You know I'm a forgiver
Reach out, touch faith
Your own sexual Jesus
Reach out, touch faith
Reach out, touch faith
Reach out, touch faith
(Reach out, reach out)
Reach out, touch faith
Reach out and touch faith
3. Fucking Demons Instead
I sit and wait
Does a demon contemplate my fate
And do they know
The places where we go
When we're grey and old
'Cause I have been told
That salvation lets their dark wings unfold
So when I'm lying in my bed
Thoughts running through my head
And I feel the love is dead
I'm fucking demons instead
And through it all she offers me protection
A lot of love and affection
Whether I'm right or wrong
And down the waterfall
Wherever it may take me
I know that life won't break me
When I come to call, she won't forsake me
I'm fucking demons instead
When I'm feeling weak
And my pain walks down a one way street
I look below
And I know I'll always be blessed with lust
And as the feeling grows
She breathes flesh to my bones
And when love is dead
I'm fucking demons instead
And through it all she offers me protection
A lot of love and affection
Whether I'm right or wrong
And down the waterfall
Wherever it may take me
I know that life won't break me
When I come to call, she won't forsake me
I'm fucking demons instead
And through it all she offers me protection
A lot of love and affection
Whether I'm right or wrong
And down the waterfall
Wherever it may take me
I know that life won't break me
When I come to call, she won't forsake me
I'm fucking demons instead
4. Sympathy for the Lord
Please allow me to introduce myself
I'm a god of might and grace
I've been around for a long, long years
Give million man's a soul an faith
And I was 'round when Jesus Christ
Had his moment of doubt and pain
Made damn sure that Pilate
Washed his hands and sealed his fate
Pleased to meet you
Hope you guess my name
But what's puzzling you
Is the nature of my game
Stuck around St. Petersburg
When I saw it was a time for a change
Killed Tsar and his ministers
Anastasia screamed in vain
I rode a tank
Held a general's rank
When the blitzkrieg raged
And the bodies stank
Pleased to meet you
Hope you guess my name, oh yeah
Ah, what's puzzling you
Is the nature of my game, oh yeah
I watched with glee
While your kings and queens
Fought for ten decades
For the gods they made
I shouted out
Who killed the Kennedys?
When after all
It was you and me
Let me please introduce myself
I'm a god of might and grace
And I laid traps for troubadours
Who get killed before they reached Bombay
Pleased to meet you
Hope you guessed my name, oh yeah
But what's puzzling you
Is the nature of my game, oh yeah, get down, baby
Pleased to meet you
Hope you guessed my name, oh yeah
But what's confusing you
Is just the nature of my game
Just as every cop is a criminal
And all the sinners saints
As heads is tails
Just call me Jehova
'Cause I'm in need of some restraint
So if you meet me
Have some courtesy
Have some sympathy, and some taste
Use all your well-learned politnesse
Or I'll lay your soul to waste, mm yeah
Pleased to meet you
Hope you guessed my name, mm yeah
But what's puzzling you
Is the nature of my game, mm mean it, get down
Woo, who
Oh yeah, get on down
Oh yeah
Aah yeah
Tell me baby, what's my name?
Tell me honey, can ya guess my name?
Tell me baby, what's my name?
I tell you one time, you're to blame
What's my name
Tell me, baby, what's my name?
Tell me, sweetie, what's my name?

Tell me baby, what's my name?
Tell me honey, can ya guess my name?
Tell me baby, what's my name?
I tell you one time, you're to blame
What's my name
Tell me, baby, what's my name?
Tell me, sweetie, what's my name?

Unwrapping
I received the new Taciturne 12" in the mail today! When I took it out of the carton, I saw that it was covered in bubble wrap for safer shipping, so I had the idea to do a literal "unwrapping" video with it. Have phun =)

We will always remember you.
And we will keep on fighting.
Not meant for dead nazis and rightwingers, though.

Looking For Artists
We are still looking for:
-People who do Doomcore, Industrial Hardcore, Dark Techno, and so on, and are interested in a release on Doomcore Records
-EP or Album demos in *any* style of music for a release on Omnicore Records. Could be Oldschool, Speedcore, Dark Ambient, Electro, whatever. Really any sort of music. But for Omnicore we are very picky in what we release. Must be exceptional and original. So not the n-th average Frenchcore, Mainstyle or Uptempo EP, please
-Slow Hardcore, Doomcore, Techno or similar genre music for Slowcore Records. Must be 125 BPM or less. The slower, the better!
-Mixsets in any dark electronic style for the Doomcore Records Pod Cast. Can be Oldschool, Acid, Techno, Doomcore, Early Hardcore, etc. As long as it's dark and "dance" related.
About these labels / projects:
Doomcore Records / Pod Cast
Slowcore Records
Omnicore Records

Doomcore Records - Best Of 2022
2022 was a very fruitful year for Doomcore Records. The releases were taking the sound of Doomcore Records to a quite different level; away from the standard Doomcore formula and concepts, instead venturing into new territories.
So we have more Industrial, Acidic sounds, but also things like the "Doomcore Terror" by James F or the myth-infused Hardcore by Voldo.
And wholly new noisy, experimental twists, such as the Cement Tea and Der Cherep tracks.
But still, most of the time, the backbone here is fierce, grim, mercyless bassdrum hammering.
Take a listen!
