My Producer's Diary - Creating a Hardcore Techno Album

Entry #5 - Live producing a Dark Speedcore Track in Buzz Tracker

This video shows me live producing the track "Heaven Sent (Top edit)" in my DAW which is called buzz tracker for my album "Nocturnal Missions" on Gabbaret Records. ( https://gabbaretrecords.bandcamp.com/album/gbbr082-low-entropy-nocturnal-missions )

It's an Oldschool Speedcore track, built around a dark / melancholic melody part.
Lots of noise, distortion, speed changes!

As for the "production technique" itself, its actually quite like the other two - hitting "record", switching channels on and off, and twisting virtual knobs.

Fight For The Freaks!

Here is a statement by the Cosmic Anarchists themselves:

"We wanted to do a Krautrock / Prog Rock album. But with Doomcore Synths, Slowcore Drums, Black Metal Speedcore blast beats, instead of guitars, traditional rock kits - with everything modern electric music has to offer."

And this is what we got here: you might feel like you got thrown back to the 70s Kraut / Prog era, with their 4 sided double LPs, each track running between 11 or 22 minutes...
Slow built ups, sudden speed changes, indecipherable vocals, the sound 'switching platforms' every few minutes... one moment it's ear deafening noise, the next it's sweetness and serenity...

But yes, at the same time one can clearly hear "modern" influences: Doomcore, Chiptune, Gabber, Industrial Black Metal, Acid, Dungeon Synth...

A progressive past bleeds into a doomed future.

A little taste of Oldschool Hardcore

i started listening and producing music in the midst of the 1990s hardcore and speedcore scene; so when the "early hardcore revival" turned into an unstoppable force a few years ago, the decision was crystal clear: i had to produce tracks in that style again and leave "doomcore and slowcore" aside for a while.
these tracks were put out on a variety of releases and labels; and this is a bit of a retrospective to this very retro sound.
a selection of what i hope is the better stuff amongst my new hardcore, gabber, terror, and speedcore productions.

Fight the fascist threat!

Fascists are at the doorsteps to Europe (and other places in the world) now. They are well-organized and have the ability to take over political power. But the majority of society is just looking on.

The reason for this is that most people are stuck in their internet bubble; they think nazis are these strange guys from movies and TV, with strange clothes and strange ways of talking; villains, yes, but more like comedy villains, no real threat.
They think this fascist rise of power is just another bizarre thing that will eventually pass.

But the truth is that when the fascists are in power, they will come for you, they will come for your friends, they will come for your family. and they will kill you. this is no joke, this is not something that will just disappear by itself. the danger is very real, and your life is in peril right now, and that of millions of other people, too.
Just look at what the real-life nazis did before and during world war ii .

and don't be egoistical - if you do not worry for your own life or your social group, then think of all the people the nazis will kill after they come to power that you might not know, but that need to be protected and fought for, too.

it's a race to the death, really, and if the fascists truly win, then it's game over.

but it's not too late - yet. we can still fight the nazi menace. if we put all our energies together, if we connect forces, cooperate. be smart, be clever, be tenacious.

the world is at a turning point now; so please join the good fight, and give it all you have.
if not, then it is very likely too late for you - and the rest of humanity, too.
