You can now submit tracks for The Slowcore Compilation - Part 4-12

The Slowcore Compilation - Part 4-12

The messages keep piling up in our inboxes. "When is the next Slowcore compilation?", "Have submissions for the next Slowcore compilation started yet?", "Can I send you a track for the next Slowcore compilation already?", "Please let me know when the next Slowcore compilation takes place".

Okay, people. We can take a hint!
So let's get down to 'action'.

But some background info first:
The Slowcore Compilation Part was a big surprise 'hit' (or 'thing') back in 2021. We did a call for submissions, got much more tracks than we thought we would, released them all, and the response was - huge! It became the 4th most poplar release by the Doomcore Records label family within a few weeks. (Most popular are the releases by Nkisi btw - and you of course can't beat "Doomed Techno Superstar" Nkisi). And reached a lot of people far beyond the Hardcore, Techno, or even Electronic spectrum.

After these developments, we planned something even bigger for 2022 - a compilation at least twice (or thrice!) the size than the first thing.
But upon further reflection, we adjusted the plan a bit; and wanted to release 2 smaller compilations instead, one in the 1st, one in the last quarter of the year. But, and this was probably inevitable, both became almost as big when it comes to numbers of track etc. as the first.

So, what's going to happen next?
In 2021 we had 1 big compilation, in 2022 two compilations, and now?
We briefly returned to the thought of having one really, really huge compilation with as much tracks as possible.
And then reflected on it again.

Instead we want to do a series of small compilations. Quite a lot of smaller compilations, actually.
The concept is more or less to do release a "mini compilation EP" centered around Slowcore each month, for a number of months on and on, with something like 5-6 tracks by different artists.
Your monthly Slowcore comp! But the time span is not set yet, as it is bit dependent on how many tracks we get, how busy we are etc. so it could be a bit shorter or longer. Also, the number of tracks on the mini-compilations could change. (And, it is completely up in the air if we really do "Part 4, going on until part 12").

But anyway, without further ado:
Feel free to sent in tracks, beginning from today!

The rules are:

1. Tracks must be slower than 126 BPM.
2. Any slow dark, electronic style is allowed. Slowcore with elements of Doomcore, or Industrial Hardcore, or even slow Techno music, and so on, it's all okay. It must have a audible beat though, so no pure beat-less Drone, Noize or Dark Ambient tracks, please ;-)
3. Tracks should be sent to low.entropy.80@gmail.com with topic "The Slowcore Compilation Part 4"
4. We don't do mastering. If you want to have your track mastered, you have to take care of that yourself (it's not necessary though, if the sound quality of your track is good, it doesn't need to be "mastered").

5. Deadline for the first mini-comp - "The Slowcore Compilation Part 4" is the 1st of July, 2032 - or 01.07.2023 23:59 GMT +2
6. As indicated, we will only release a limited numbers of tracks on this one - but if we like your track, it might get released on one of the next mini-compilations (in the next month, or later). So 'leftover' tracks from the submissions will eventually be used, too.
7. And because of this, you can send in as many tracks per alias as you want! But don't be annoyed when it takes longer until it gets released, or if it does not get approved at all.

8. Any further questions, inquiries, comments, should be directed to: low.entropy.80@gmail.com
